Green Boating Center
In partnership with a California municipality and Marin Clean Energy (MCE), ZeroMar is developing a concept for the world’s first 100% zero-emission marina and boatyard.
Powered entirely by solar and wind, this project will create live-aboard slips exclusively for electric boats. The Green Boating Center will set the standard for zero-emission boating and living in coastal cities.
To increase equitable access to clean energy and affordable housing, a portion of the live-aboard slips will be reserved for low-income residents.
GET STARTEDBoatyard & Service Center
The heart of our Green Boating Center is a zero-emission boatyard. This enables ZeroMar to not only convert vessels to zero-emission electric systems, but to reduce emissions during the installation process.
Electric Vessel Marina
The Green Boating Center will feature dedicated slips for electric boats within the marina, creating a community for electric boaters. This will showcase the increasing popularity of electric boating, while providing easy access to our knowledgeable service and support team to ensure owners have everything they need for a smooth experience.
Renewable Energy
Our goal is to use a combination of solar and wind to power the Green Boating Center with renewable energy. This ensures that the zero-emission electric systems on boats are actually 100% emission free. It also allows the Green Boating Center to contribute to the stability of the local electrical grid, rather than increasing usage from it.
Start Your Career with ZeroMar:
Marine Electrification Apprenticeship Program
As part of our effort to develop a diverse workforce, and in collaboration with the Canal Alliance, ZeroMar has created a Marine Electrification Apprenticeship Program to increase opportunities for the community in the clean-energy workforce. Apprentices will be paid a living wage and, after the program is completed, they will be qualified for full-time positions as marine technicians to help us electrify vessels. These graduates are critical components of the ZeroMar strategy to decarbonize the marine sector.
